Membership
Requirements
Regular, post-doctoral fellow and graduate
student membership is
available according to the following criteria:
Regular - Any
qualified individual who according to the STC Constitution has a
continuing professional interest in the field of toxicology and
who:
- is generally recognized as an expert in some aspect of
toxicology or who possesses other specialized qualifications by
reason of extensive experience in toxicological research, or:
- is responsible for the planning,
conduct or interpretation of laboratory and clinical
studies relating to toxicology.
Post-doctoral fellow
and graduate student - Any
post-doctoral fellow or graduate student enrolled in a postgraduate degree program with
major emphasis on toxicology
The membership fees are
as follows:
- Regular: $100 + applicable taxes
- Post-doctoral fellow
and graduate student: $30 + applicable taxes
- Retired $30 +
applicable taxes
The Membership Committee has the
responsibility for evaluating each application according to these
criteria.
Required Documents in
Support of Membership Application:
- A complete curriculum vitae including
list of publications;
- Sponsoring letters from two Regular members; in the case of
Post-doctoral fellow or graduate student membership, only one
sponsoring letter from the applicant's
supervisor is necessary unless the
supervisor is not a STC member in which case the sponsor may be
someone else who is a Regular member of STC.
