The Society of Toxicology of Canada, formerly
the Canadian Association for Research in Toxicology, was founded
in 1964.
More info on
the origins of the STC here (PDF Doc). Currently, our membership, broadly representing
industry, government and academic institutions across Canada, is
comprised of individuals whose interests range from fundamental
and basic to clinical and applied toxicology, and whose academic
qualifications include M.Sc., Ph.D., D.V.M. and M.D. degrees.
The Society's scientific activities,
presented in symposium fashion, have included critical discussion
of numerous topics of contemporary interest.
Our involvement as a founding member of the
International Union of Toxicology extends our expression to the
international field. |
